We are proud to announce we have finally launched our progressive housing scheme dedicated to tackling the UK’s housing crisis and related issues by increasing supply of social housing at scale and at speed.
Led by our experienced teams focused on impact and delivery, our mission is to help alleviate hidden homelessness in the UK by working with Local Authorities (LAs) and housing providers to ensure that the families most in need have a safe home. We do this by building, buying and maintaining quality social housing while saving local authorities millions annually (as assessed by Grant Thornton).
We realise our objective through our charitable arm, Home Safe Housing, which is dedicated to working closely with LAs, developers and portfolio landlords on street acquisition programmes that bring properties into the affordable housing tenure in volume.
Ulo Homes, our dedicated builder, delivers energy-efficient modular housing for less than local authorities spend on housing benefit.
We work in close cooperation with LAs to support their construction and management of housing. Our team provides innovative solutions that address the restrictions around right to buy and reduce development & maintenance costs which in turn empower the authorities to deliver housing for the residents most in need.
We believe increasing housing supply is the best way to tackle family homelessness and poor living conditions, and local authorities are the best-placed bodies to address this challenge. We are focused on removing all barriers that restrict or prevent local authorities from solving this.
At Prowgress we incubate and accelerate high +impact ventures. Aside from financial success, we strive to deliver measurable positive social and/or environmental outcomes. We do this across a multitude of business areas. Our core focus is targeted at the Real Estate and Agribusiness sectors.

This is great to see. The UK housing crisis is multi layered and a clear delivery strategy is required for each tenure. Social and affordable homes at scale are critical, and so is a solution to the private rental sector which has many market failures that are having a catastrophic impact on families across the UK, affordable housing availability, and of course, local government finances.
